How Far Will the Sanders Insurgency Go?
Bernie Sanders says he wants superdelegates to support him as he tries to reform and even weaken their influence within the Democratic electoral system, but how far is he willing to go with this fight?

*I think the superdelegate issue is telling in illuminating just how steadfastly Sanders will stick to his professed principles. Inspiring slogans and speeches can’t conceal those contradictions.

And if the goal is to “reform” the party, then this talk of “revolution” is foolish on its face. Perhaps Sanders sees himself as some sort of Pope Francis bringing light to a benighted institution.

That’s not truly his crusade, of course, but were that the case, both are doomed to a quixotic demise. The nature of both beasts makes a moral imperative of their slaying

Not their inconceivable salvation.

“Slickest Con Man Out of NYC”: Donald Trump Set to Be GOP Nominee Despite Links to Organized Crime

*Idiotic comments at the end about Madame Mayhem being “a tremendous candidate”, but the main point is taken about Trump’s travels through the underworld.

Since the corpress craves another round of Clintonismo (read “neoliberalism with a facade of social liberalism”), it may be that these tales will see more light, and thus more heat on the Donald. He was their darling due to ratings and readers, and tearing him down would elicit more of the same, wouldn’t you think?

As the same time, associating a major party nominee with organized crime might be a bridge too far, calling into question just how the hell he got there.

Stay tuned …
